This is a very important historic structure and facility in western Puerto Rico. The well-maintained French provincial-style mansion stands on 110 acres and is on the National Historic Register. On the grounds (at the east end) is a protected sanctuary for endangered bird species. In front of the mansion is an old train engine from the sugarcane era. On the weekends you can see ultralights flying from the dirt landing strip on the south end of the property. A new entrance south from Rt 2 at Km 115.9 was just built.
